10 February: Third day of testing at Jerez - Alonso fastest. At Silverstone, Karthikeyan continues Jordan test in the wet

Testing continued today at the Jerez track with 8 teams and 16 drivers setting lap times. Today Fernando Alonso set the fastest time this year of any car with a 1:15.732 and was within a tenth of the best time set on this track in 2004. Juan Pablo Montoya was second fastest nearly 0.7 seconds behind while Giancarlo Fisichella was third.

Again several drivers had problems today. Montoya cut his running short due to a clutch problem. Raikkonen didn't run as the team discovered a damaged suspension part on his car. Jacques Villeneuve also stopped on the track towards the end of the afternoon session.

Today Ferrari delivered the second F2004 M and both Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello were on duty.

Takuma Sato completed the most number of laps with 128 laps followed by Felipe Massa with 110.

Renault and Sauber have concluded their testing while the other teams continue tomorrow.

At Silverstone the Jordan team continued testing with the EJ15. Under very wet conditions Narain Karthikeyan did a few laps on extreme wet weather tyres as well as some start and pitsop work.
