24 March: Formula 1 Testing - 21 - 25 March

4 Formula 1 teams continued testing the Paul Ricard circuit today. Ricardo Zonta driving the TF104 set the fastest time of the day ahead of Pedro de la Rosa and Alex Wurz, both driving the MP4/18B.

The teams covered a fewer number of laps due to the mixed weather. McLaren's Alex Wurz covered the most number of laps with 107.

Weather conditions were rainy in the morning but dry and cloudy in the afternoon. Air temperature reached 17 degrees while track temperature reached 21 degrees.

Both Toyota and McLaren have decided to end their test today. Renault and BAR continue tomorrow.

At Barcelona, Williams and Red Bull were present today. Nick Heidfeld and Antonio Pizzonia were present for the Williams team while Neel Jani and Scott Speed were present for Red Bull, both part of the Red Bull Junior programme.

Scott Speed set the fastest time of the day with a 1:16.122 while Nick Heidfeld covered the most number of laps with 121.

Red Bull conclude their test today (they held a private session on Wednesday) while Williams continue testing tomorrow
