2007 V8 POINTS SYSTEM.

The points system for V8Supercars will be:

1 race format.
72 points to the winner, then 60, 51, 45, 39, 36, 33, 30, 27, 24, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6.

2 race format
36, 40, 25, 22, 20, 18, 16, 15, 13, 12, 9, 8, 6, 5, 3.

3 race format
24, 20, 17, 15, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 6, 5, 4, 33, 2.

That would be 30 point for a 2 race format second place??

And points awards for each race.

It may entice some passing as most of the drivers seem to settle in position near the end of the race as the current points system doesn't reward a driver for a little additional effort.
