There was a lot of oil on the track, and many of the teams were not prepared to risk new tyres.
Murphy had a brush with the wall, and Ritter had a more substantial hit.
Both cars will run in Q today.

Guys I was not able to get the comp results before the results of the 1st race were also available....as I do not want to know the results of the first race, til I pull up a wild t., and watch the telecast tomorrow, the results of your picks will be a tad late... however ... if you watch the telecast tomorrow, you will see the top ten shootout....and know why your tips were brilliant ...or not....by supporting our premier catagory ....tv ratings go up....motor sport in general gets a better coverage...your favourite formula starts to get better coverage....in a short while WE WILL RULE THE TELEVISION WAVES....ahem  anyway you get the idea

Well, guys, it was a case of who survived for most of the runners at Hidden Valley over the weekend. Tod Kelly was about the only front runner who did not strike trouble or something harder at the track. It was a Holden weekend, if things stay true to form, it will be Ford's next year. The two makes have taken turns at triumph, year in and year out.
Full review in the next day (or two, the damned teachers have sent all the kids home for a couple of weeks)

I can now reveal the reason for my angst (see post above ). I pecked out an in depth review a la Mlittle, The Heretic etc., over a number of hours. With one line to go, I went to another site to check a fact, and then returned to my review, EXCEPT that I clicked on the wrong window, which left me still on the site but without a review. All gone, disappeared into cyberspace, vanished into a Bill Gates Black Hole, doomed to roam the electronic wilderness in an endless search for an author and a post site. FRED has nearly recovered, and I know you technics out there wish him well. Personally I am endeavouring to find a reliable source of quills.

Thank you for your kind condolances, I am now exploring the mystery of something called "notepad. It could be terminal for FRED.
What p...es me off, is that I can strip and reassemble a V8 in quick time, I can field strip most weapons blind-folded, I can grow things where most things won't grow, I can deliver babies, (human , equine, canine, and feline,) I can fly an aircraft, drive a boat, sail a yacht, live with a teenager, and dodge Numbus drivers. I have yet to establish how one can apply logic to FREDS and get a logical sequence of results.
Now JV, I have been relaibly informed that you are a whiz-bang FRED pilot, and seeing as you watched Hidden Valley, I hereby invite you to be "Guest Reviewer". We look forward to your summary within the hour. It is now 1126 hours AEST. :D
