Monaro future in doubt.

Post by rah » Tue Sep 13, 2005 2:49 pm

Looks like the future of the Monaro is in doubt. Sales are stagnant and it might be time to drop it from the line up. Exports a still keeping it alive for now but I believe there are plans for the GTO Pontiac (Monaro) to be built somewhere in the Americas.

Shame, was one of the only GM cars I would consider buying. The other one being the Ute.

It will probably make a come back in future models though when it can have more of an impact.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

I believe there will be a Monaro in the line up when the new platform goes into production in 06-07. They made a mistake with the current car, imho, by not going with the 6.7 litre and 6 speed sequential to really differentiate it from the others in the stable.
