How true; some of the best sounds in all of motorsports, Conduit, are the full-throated sounds of LeMans Prototypes roarin' down the Mulsanne during the 24......next, of course, to the sounds of 33 wound-up, screamin' eagles headin' down the front-stretch at Indy to start the 500 on Memorial Day Sunday......The Conduit wrote:But only for brief periods of life, yes?jacfan wrote:Yes. Silence is sometimes golden.
Others might well be disconsolate, were they denied silvery sounds of stimulation. Perhaps even for 24 Hours.
Le Mans is nothing to me in the the absence of the sounds of the Machinery racing.

I was fortunate to be a guest at Mount Panorama in Australie, during a visit last year. An aquaintance was competing.mlittle wrote:How true; some of the best sounds in all of motorsports, Conduit, are the full-throated sounds of LeMans Prototypes roarin' down the Mulsanne during the 24......next, of course, to the sounds of 33 wound-up, screamin' eagles headin' down the front-stretch at Indy to start the 500 on Memorial Day Sunday......The Conduit wrote:But only for brief periods of life, yes?jacfan wrote:Yes. The sounds of those V8cars arriving en mass to the last turn, at the first lap were unforgettable. The very ground shook.
