I am shocked by the news of Michael Jackson's death

On the same day, a fellow called Ed Freeman died. Without fanfare.
Not many people have heard of Ed.
Back in about 1966, Ed took his unarmed, unmarked helicopter into a clearing swept by close range, heavy machine gun fire, so heavy that the medi-vac choppers had been ordered away.
The first time Ed rescued three critically injured young soldiers.
Incredibly Ed did this a total of fourteen times.
Ed was just a chopper pilot, not a combat soldier, just a "bus driver".
RIP Ed Freeman.

RIP also to Farrah Fawcett who lost her long battle with cancer.
