The best match of the world cup was played today by West Indies and England. West Indies made 300 run only to have England reaching on that target with the second last ball of the game and being nine wickets down.

The next game is the first semifinal between Sri Lanka and New Zealand on ANZAC day (nzt). The day after Australia will play South Africa.

And in layman's terms? Who beat who?

England won it by the narrowest of margins. Both sides could have won it.

For those living outside New Zealand and Australia, ANZAC is on the 25th April.

Sri Lanka beat New Zealand by 81 runs. Sri Lanka made 289/5 batting first. Nerves seemed to get the better of New Zealand.

Well done Sri Lanka. I hope they do well in the final. I have alot of time for the Sri Lanka cricket team. They have played in New Zealand alot in the last few years.

Talk back radio is good to listen to today. I just hope that the players don't hear what people are saying about them. Fleming the main target.

Tonight Australia play South Africa.

Australia are into the final after beating South Africa by seven wickets. South Africa at one stage being 27/5 made 149.

The best two teams have made the final. Can't wait for the Australia against Sri Lanka final.

Australia have won the world cup by 53 runs(D/L method.) Australia made a massive 281/4 in a rain reduced 38 overs. The match ended in confusion when players went of for rain, Australia thought that the game was over it and at the time the match should have been over they started celebrating only to be told by the umpires that the match should carry on, in conditions that players should not be playing in.

This world cup will be remembered for the wrong reasons. Pakistan coach getting murdered, being to long in duration, poor crowds and early exit of India and Pakistan.

Australia were the best team and deserved to win. :1st:

Viv Richards was asked what would stop the Australians from winning.
He replied, "Salmonella".
