(from SA, 7 June 2008)...............
Braving the hot temperatures of the June sun in the Finger Lakes region, Ganassi Racing's Scott Pruett played ironman, driving the final three hours of Saturday's Sahlen's 6 Hours @ the Glen to near-perfection, passing Krohn Racing's Ricardo Zonta and winning the 6-hr. race, holding off Brumos Racing's Darren Law; the biggest cheers, though, went to the #10 SunTrust team, who finished 3rd in the Daytona Prototype class despite losing most of their equipment in a transporter fire days after competing at Laguna Seca.

DP-1} #01 Telmex Lexus/Riley(Pruett, Rojas)
DP-2} #58 RedBull/Brumos Porsche/Riley(Law, Donohue)
DP-3} #10 SunTrust Pontiac/Riley(Angelelli, Valiante)
DP-4} #60 Flight Options Ford/Riley(Negri, Jr./Patterson)
DP-5} #77 Kodak Ford/Doran(Jaeger, Gidley)

Meanwhile, the GT class saw a new winner as the #69 SpeedSource Mazda RX-8 w/pilots Jeff Segal, Emil Assentato and Nick Longhi took their first wins of the year........

GT-1} #69 SpeedSource Mazda RX-8(Assentato, Segal, Longhi)
GT-2} #57 BryanMark Financial Pontiac GXP-R(Davis, Liddell)
GT-3} #07 Banner Engineering Pontiac GXP-R(Collins, Edwards)
GT-4} #72 Autohaus Pontiac GXP-R(Ashcenbach/Lewis, Jr.)
GT-5} #27 O'Connell Racing Porsche 911 GT3(O'Connell, Roush)

(from TH, 3 July 2008)
A late-race pass for the lead at the Bus Stop was the key for Ganassi Racing's Scott Pruett, who held off a hard-charging Alex Gurney in the closest-ever Grand-Am finish in series history; meanwhile, SpeedSource drivers' Nick Ham and Sylvain Tremblay won their third consecutive victory at the "World Center of Racing"(counting last year's Brumos Porsche 250 and January's win in the Rolex 24).
