Renault R25 makes its track debut

Post by Ed » Wed Jan 26, 2005 2:45 pm

The Renault R25 took to the track for the first time at the Valencia track.

Alonso drove the new car for 15 laps with a best time of 1:11.750.
Pretty impressive for an 'out of the box' car!

Car to be launched on the 1st of February in Monaco

That looks like a good time just by looking at the other times posted.

Renault may have come up with a strong package.

We still need to see times from McLaren, Williams and Ferrari in their new (or modified cars) to be able to have some sort of an idea of who is strong and who isn't .... but testing is only testing and this year we have the added complication of tyre wear :?
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!

I seem to recall Ferrari's times, this time last year, and the year before that, etc., gave us all hope for a competitive season in F1!!!

Today Alonso was way down in the new car .... the highs and lows of testing ..... it still enjoyable speculating though!!

The times set by Alonso on day 3 are pretty impressive. What I am surprised with is that Alonso in the new car is faster than Fisichella in the old car.
Fisichella drives the new car for the first time on Friday ... more

And the FIA were hoping the cars would be slower ....

Looks like the Renault is fast. They were 1st & 2nd today although Fisco in the new car was slower than Montagny (in the old).

They seem to be progressing well without much trouble. They're the team to watch at this stage.
