Re: The 2016 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Thread
This weekend sees the running of the final round of the 2016 season. With the WDC still hanging in the balance, it is sure to be an exciting race. Nico Rosberg has to finish on the podium to guarantee his first F1 title and emulate the feat of his famous father and become the second father/son combination to achieve this milestone.
My instinct tells me that Nico will do all that he needs to even if it means Lewis winning the Grand Prix.
The next battle royal will be between the Red Bulls. I would like to see Daniel finish ahead of Max but this result will go either way.
Ferrari are the next best team and I have to admit that, as of late, Kimi has been outperforming Sebastian.
Force India will again be in the points and then, the last 2 spots will be up for grabs.

Re: The 2016 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Thread
Final race of the season .... it will be interesting although I suspect a repeat of the last few races. We may get a bit of drama at the start but the Mercedes manage to get up there regardless!
It is interesting that Rosberg managed to qualify either 1st or 2nd all season. That is impressive and apparently the last time this happened was when Damon Hill did this in 96 when he wont the title. Graham Hill won his first title in 62 (34 years earlier)
Intriguingly, Keke Rosberg won the title in 82 and if Rosberg wins today it will also be 34 years later! And the Rosbergs will become only the second Father-Son pair to have won F1 titles.
It is also interesting to hear the media talk about how Hamilton is beating Rosberg for the last 4 races and try to imply that Rosberg wouldn't be a worthy champion if he doesn't beat Hamilton on the track .... Well at the end of last season, didn't Rosberg win the last 3 races of the season ? Still Hamilton was the Champion and a worthy one!
