I really want them to. With the engine freeze and all smaller teams might have a chance at getting somewhere better than double digit positions. Plus we'll be able watch some solid battles for points.Julian Mayo wrote:They will

It's well known on both sides of the pond that Bourdais wants to race in F1, and by rights, he should've gotten a shot in 2003 after winning in F3000. While I'd like to see him stay in NA motorsports, there's really not much left for SeaBass to do(other than win at the Brickyard in May...), so IMO if he gets a shot at a race seat in 2008, he should take it.gkaytaz wrote:It is a known fact that Bourdais badly wants to race in F1. He's bound by a contract for 2007. However given his performance he could very well land a race seat in one of the lesser teams, come 2008. Spyker or Toro Rosso come to mind. If they survive 2007 that ismlittle wrote:Correct, Julian, but reports are that there is an "out" clause in SeaBass's contract with Newman-Haas if the right opportunity were to arise; right now, I don't think Bourdais'll switch. 2008, though, is another story......

Speed may be a goner soon, replaced by Bourdais... Then again this belongs to the rumor threadEd wrote:The difference in times mlittle is due to different sources. Teams have their own timers and each reports times that are slightly different. In addition a team may end their test early and so their times could be very inaccurate.
What happened yesterday at Jerez was that Scott Speed had a crash and the team asked Liuzzi to take over.
So from 16th the order, times and laps are:
16 - V. Liuzzi (Toro Rosso) 1.21.514 (40)
17 - S. Bourdais (Toro Rosso) 1.21.539 (78)
18 - K. Hirate (Toyota) 1.22.031 (31)
19 - S. Speed (Toro Rosso) 1.22.455 (21)
The times for Jerez are available from the Jerez circuit website.
We consider them to be the most accurate.
