For 2005 IPS champion Wade Cunningham, it wasn't the prettiest race he's ever run, but I suspect he'll take the victory in the first race of the Corning Twin 100's at the Glen regardless, holding off Aguri-Panther Racing's Hideki Mutoh to capture his first win since Chicagoland in 2006........here are the top-10 from race 1:

1st} Wade Cunningham, AFS Racing
2nd} Hideki Mutoh, Aguri-Panther Racing
3rd} Alex Lloyd, Sam Schmidt Motorsports
4th} Phil Giebler, Playa del Racing
5th} Bobby Wilson, Brian Stewart Racing
6th} Daniel Herrington, SpeedWorks**
7th} Jaime Camara, Andretti-Green Racing
8th} Richard Antinucci, Cheever Racing
9th} Mike Potekhin, Apex Racing
10th} Andrew Prendeville, RLR-Andersen Racing

**--following the race, there was a blind draw to determine how many of the top-10 finishers would be inverted for race #2; positions 1-6 will be inverted, with SpeedWorks's Daniel Herrington starting on point Sunday

[Mod's note........as good as Alex Lloyd is running in the IPS this year, it would be great for an IndyCar Series team to pick up Lloyd and run him in a few ICS races at the end of the season.]

After having a not-so-good race in race #1 of the Corning Twin 100's, Alex Lloyd simply dominated race 2, easily winning and padding his already large points lead; here are the top-10 from race #2.............

1st} Alex Lloyd, Sam Schmidt Motorsports
2nd} Wade Cunningham, AFS Racing
3rd} Daniel Herrington, SpeedWorks
4th} Phil Giebler, Playa del Racing
5th} Richard Antinucci, Cheever Racing
6th} Hideki Mutoh, Aguri-Panther Racing
7th} Mike Potekhin, Apex Racing
8th} Andrew Prendeville, RLR-Andersen Racing
9th} Jonathan Klein, Team Moore Racing
10th} Jaime Camara, Andretti-Green Racing

On the flip side, current points leader Alex Lloyd took a small hit in the points as gearbox problems ended his day at the halfway point, resulting in a 22nd-place finish.
