The event is actually from the 27th to the 29th of August. We thought it is the traditional 3 week break. It is actually 4 weeks.

Apologies for the confusion

:D Well, I was going to wait until next Thursday, but why bother? Nothing's going to happen to change things; I don't think that the order of finish will be much affected even if it rains all weekend.

So here's my picks (and my reasons) for Belgium in 2010:

:1st: Sebastian Vettel (at last :!:) ...because the stars are aligned for him 8) 8) and he is, really, a talented driver in a very good car...

:2nd: Fernando Alonso ... because he's the most talented driver in the field and his car isn't too bad either :burnout:

:3rd: Mark Webber ... because in the course of the race he'll be ill served by his pit crew (he's DUE!) & both Lewis and Fernando will get past him... he'll be able to deal with Lewis, but no way will he get by Fernando!! :alright:

4th: Lewis Hamilton ... because he won't make any errors except for letting Mark past :zzzz:

5th: Jenson Button ... another smooth performance from the quiet man

6th: Robert Kubica ... because he's a hellofadriver b.g.!!

7th: Felipe Massa ... because he's driving a pretty good machine, you know 8) 8)

8th: Nico Rosberg ... maybe next year, Nico, maybe next year :( :(

9th: Rubens Barichello ... Next year: the story of my career :alright:

10th: V. Petrov ... so we can see what Mom's wearing this week!!

Let's hope the race is exciting and full of real dicing ... after all, because of his ten grid space penalty, Michael will only be able to take out some of the moving chicanes back down at the bottom of the grid. :sb:

I'm figuring the seven time world drivers champion will start in 17th. He might make it back up to 11th. I wonder if they'll even show him during the race??

Cheers, chaps and I'm, for one, ready to get back to racing!

Jim Watt :woohoo:

:D M. Little:

I know the McLaren's are better suited to Spa than the Red Bull's, but how do you figure Seb Vettel letting BOTH Ferrari's AND the Webbo get by? Alonso, in a decent car, of course, will either pass Sebastian or the lad will put them both OUT of the race, but Felipe? No way. And is the Jense really five places slower than Ron Dennis's favorite driver?

cheers, Jim Watt

Ferrari has a new diffuser, Renault an F-duct, and McLaren are hoping for a new shiny upgrade of their own, but won't say what it is (Batman-style afterburner, perhaps?) I imagine that it'll be tight between the McLarens and Red Bulls at the front, with Renault doing pretty well and Mercedes looking a bit rubbish. Again.

My philosophy at this point in the season, Jim, is basically to throw everything at a wall, see what sticks and go from there.......there is no rhyme nor reason to them(when you're running 7th in this year's F1 Idiots Grous standings, you'll try any combination of picks to gain points on your competitors.........   :shock2:

If Ferrari is punished for it's sins, will they lose the points awarded, or .........insert devilish smile here.........cop a grid penalty, or worse? 8)
