3rd} Mark Webber(keeps his grip on the championship................)

5th} Jenson Button(at least it's a top-5 finish...........that's good, right?)
6th} Felipe Massa(decides to play the faithful no.2 to Alonso...........as long as Alonso wins the WDC, it's all good, right?)
7th} Michael Scuhmacher(..........................  ...................)
8th} Robert Kubica(banks a few more points for Renault this year..............)
9th} Adrian Sutil(does likewise for Force India.............)

I'd be surprised if Vettel weren't on the podium. His race performances recently have been very solid. He got an unexpectedly good fourth a few races ago, when he had engine woe for a few laps, was a mile ahead of 3rd place two races ago, and won with ease last time.

Hamilton's got to go for it. A bad race for the Britons means that their challenge ends in Korea.

:D Well, chaps, Let's hope the surface holds up and no one gets hurt! That said, here are me picks:

1. Sebastian Vettel: the kid wants to join his partner & Fernando with four wins; he's been driving extremely well lately and he's good on brand new circuits, too. :drive:

2. Mark Webber: he's too smart to try a pass at this stage, so if the kid gets off the line well, he'll settle in behind him and smile a lot

3. Fernando Alonso: he'd win this race if his machine were up to the Red Bulls, but he'll settle for the third step on the podium --and expect him to hound Mark lap after lap 8) 8)

4. Lewis Hamilton: he could surprise me and get around Fernando if he's lucky enough to see the Spaniard make an error

5. Robert Kubica: will continue to pile up points for Renault, making it harder and harder for them to decide what to do next year 8) 8)

6. Jenson Button: I can't see him keeping up with Lewis, not unless this circuit has a number of low speed turns; he might pip Kubica, though :burnout:

7. Felipe Massa: he IS, after all, driving a Ferrari

8. Nico Rosberg: should have a quiet, businesslike week end :? :?

9. Michael Schumacher: should have a noisy, buisinesslike week end

10. Rubens Barrichello: will try to get round Michael and probably be squeezed again

Pole: I think Sebastian Vettel will pip the Webbo by three or four tenths!

Don't know what to expect, really. Hope the Safety Car stays in!!

cheers, Jim Watt

You have registered the following picks :
Winner : Fernando Alonso - one way or the other, he is going to win to secure his championship chances. It may look ugly.

Third : Mark Webber - one of the best this year

Fourth : Lewis Hamilton - should like the long straights

Fifth : Robert Kubica - still impressive

Sixth : Nico Rosberg

Seventh : Rubens Barrichello

Eighth : Jenson Button - not in his best shape

Ninth : Michael Schumacher

Tenth : Felipe Massa - accident?

Pole : Mark Webber - He can shine in qualifications

sachin top scores this round with 57 points.

The average score was 34.32.

Congratulations to sachin, you have won a NewsOnF1 Compact Smart Digital Clock with Alarm.
sachin managed to pick 7 of the top 10 finishers with 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in their exact finishing place. Picking Fernando Alonso for pole earned sachin 3 additional points and scored a bonus 4 points for picking 7 and 3rd on the Grid!
