Lap 26 and Rick Kelly's car has entered the pits with front damage. Car became loose at the apex into the chase after losing a tyre. Slides across the sandtrap. Almost hit by Lowndes. Car taped up and Tander takes the wheel to rekoin the race. Still on the lead lap (just)

Kelly's tyre delaminated. The slick tread is gone but the tyre case remained inflated.
