Meira now breaks into pitlane; four tires and full fuel load...........

Kanaan and Patrick break into pitlane; clean stops for both......Castroneves follows them to his pitstall...........

The leaders are beginning to cycle through; Patrick out in 9 secs., Kanaan just as fast; Castroneves 8.7 sec

Hornish passes Wheldon..................Marco now into pitlane

With the pitstops on-going, top-5 are Franchitti, Scheckter, Michael Andretti, Dixon and Briscoe

Scheckter lights up the breaks in pitlane; Hamilton goes into pitlane.......Franchitti may also have to stop in a few laps as well

Franchitti's pitcrew preparing for their stop; Dixon's crew preparing as well...............the Scotsman's in; crew changing all 4 tires, a turn of front wing as he's away; Dixon's away as well

56 laps remaining................Jaques Lazier now leading; Playa del Racing has the lead for the first time in the team's history

only lasted a lap as he enters pitlane...........Manning now leads for Foyt Racing!

Manning the last of the frontrunners to pit; Kanaan reassumes the lead; top-5 at the moment are Kanaan, Hornish, Jr., Franchitti, Patrick and Castroneves.....this looks to be a barnburner' to the finish

Race control notifying teams that more bad weather is enroute...... :shock: :shock: :shock:

This race is looking like a fuel-mileage race; none of the frontrunners pitted on the same lap, so is fuel going to be an issue...it most looks like it!

Crash in turn 2; Roth got into the marbles exiting turn 2 and slid it into the wall.....................Roth's okay; he's out of the car and walking to the Delphi Safety vehicle

Pits are open; will anyone take a chance and top off the tanks and gamble for the checkers?

Most of the leaders breaking into pitlane; Franchitti, though, stayed out.......Dixon, Briscoe, Sharp stayed out as well :shock: :shock: :?

24 lead changes so far involving 9 different leaders...........

With the high humidity in the air, many of the teams added front-wing for additional downforce.......

Safety crews working feverishly to clean up all the debris and get the race back to green.........

Clouds are getting darker; everyone's looking upwards but no rain.......Repeat after me} Rain, rain, GO AWAY!!!!

Race control ordering Kanaan to return for a drive-through penalty; the team was only supposed to change the one flat tire....instead they changed all 4........... :x

Kanaan reporting for his drive-through; he must drive 60mph down the long, long pitlane; Michael Andretti and Darren Manning are back on pitlane to top off for fuel

Franchitti leads, Dixon 2nd; cars spreading out 3 wide down the frontstretch!!

CAUTION! CAUTION! Big crash on the backstretch!
One car upside down; one car upside down.............it's Marco! Rice slides down into turn 3; both Penske cars touched as well......................

Wheldon also invovled; he limps into pitlane w/front-wing damage and left-front suspension damage.....Wheldon could be done for the day. :shock: :shock:
