At Barcelona, so far it looks like the BMW and the Ferrari are the quickest

I am not really suprised by the pace of the Brawn, in 2008 Honda basically wrote off that season and worked completely on 2009 so they have a strong start and could be on the podium in Australia however their pace of development will be affected and the top teams will quickly catch up.
Having said that, the times set by Brawn certainly have a marketing element to them as they try to get sponsors. (Imagine 2 white labeled cars at the front of the grid!)
It will be an interesting season.

We had that last season, in fact last season 9 out of the 10 teams had at least 1 podium finish. ( I know it didn't feel like it
)
I guess you mean consistently fighting for the podium
