Re: Round of Belgium '20 - Picks and comments
Well, I might as well be first to display my picks.
Winner: Lewis Hamilton: He is really on a roll at the moment. He may have seen off Bottas again in 2020.
Second: Valtteri Bottas: I really feel sorry for him. He is in the best team but in the wrong era.
Third: Max Verstappen: Max is showing his class in extracting the best from what seems a difficult car.
Fourth: Alexander Albon: Alex will show that he is worthy of the Red Bull ride.
Fifth: Sergio Perez: Sergio seems to get the best out of his Racing Point, slightly better than his team mate.
Sixth: Lance Stroll: I really didn't give Stroll much credit prior to this season. This car suits him.
Seventh: Carlos Sainz: Carlos is starting to show a bit of consistency.
Eighth: Lando Norris: Lando was in the right place at the right time in the early races. Times are a changing.
Ninth: Daniel Ricciardo: The works team just doesn't have the chassis.
Tenth: Pierre Gasly: Pleasantly surprised by the pace of the AlphaTauri. Still, it's not quite there but best of the rest.
Pole: Lewis Hamilton: Watch my dust!
I seem to have forgotten the #16 Ferrari. Oh well. Let's see how it pans out.

Re: Round of Belgium '20 - Picks and comments
Well CM Lean:
1. I agree that Lewis will win handily (but probablly not lap everyone in the fireld!) from the pole because he is a formidable driveer in a very fast car.
2. I believee Max is an exceptional driver perfectly suited for this circuit and he will beat Valteri to the second step on the podium because he is so good.
3. Valteri is a fine driver and will score some points for the team again just like he did in Spain.
4.Here I have to disagree, Alex Albon will struggle on this course and fourth place points will go to the pink Mercedes of Sergio Perez; indeed, he may even sneak onto the podium.
5. Lance Stroll will follow Sergio who is the better driver in the pink team
6. and Alexander Albon will either get sixth place or make a mistake and not get any points at all. The middle is VERY competitive and Alex has a gift of making the right move at the wrong time and not recovering.
7. Charles LeClerc will either finish seventh or not in the points at all. If his luck holds (and he's VERY lucky) he may nip Alex for sixth!
8.Carlos Sainz will push he McLaren into the top ten somewhere.
9.and Lando Norris will push the other McLaren in as well.
10. Unless the car is totally undrivable, which appears on Friday to be the case, Seb Vettel will score the last point. It's hard, BTW, not to think that Ferrrri is delibeerately giving him a clunker to "justify" their firing him. Though I am a tifosi, I have to admit that the Maranello Mafia is not above such cold-blooded tactics.
And, as I said above, Lewis will easily capture the pole postiion.
I'm really looking forward to a decent race, given the disaster in Indianapolis last sunday!

Re: Round of Belgium '20 - Picks and comments
Here are my picks
Mercedes will again dominate but Verstappen will somehow manage to finish ahead of Bottas.
Renault could be strong here whilst it will be lucky if 1 Ferrari makes it into the top 10. Vettel may not even make it into Q2!
Should be a good race especially if wet
Winner: Lewis Hamilton
Second: Max Verstappen
Third: Valtteri Bottas
Fourth: Sergio Perez
Fifth: Daniel Ricciardo
Sixth: Carlos Sainz
Seventh: Alexander Albon
Eighth: Lance Stroll
Ninth: Charles Leclerc
Tenth: Pierre Gasly
Pole: Lewis Hamilton
Enjoy Majestic Spa

You are extremely of the Ferrari's having solved their woes.
And you are correct with the disastrous end to Indy last weekend. I would have thought overtime would have been in order rather than that tame finish under the yellows.
