The biggest complaint throughout the session was a lack of grip. This is probably due to the track temperature being near 40C.

Biggest surprise is the Friday speed of both the Williams drivers with both finishing the session in the top 5.

FP3 commenced in fine conditions with rain imminent. The weather forecast proved true around the 20 minute mark of the session. Lando Norris stayed out on slicks and later, others joined him on intermediates. The conditions remained similar for the remainder of the session.

What an end to Q1!
Kevin Magnussen brought out the red flags with just over 3 minutes left in the session. All remaining cars drivers returned to the pits before a final assault to make it through to Q2. It was difficult to keep up with the continually changing leaderboard and Sergio Perez, initially the fastest as the chequered flag dropped, falling down to land in position 16 and missing out on progressing through to the next stage. Valtteri Bottas then stopped on track and was later excluded from the results for failing to provide the required fuel sample.
Q3 began with Max Verstappen the only driver bringing in 2 new sets of soft tyres into the session. He set the time for all to chase on his first run. The conclusion of the session saw the Ferrari pair move into positions 2 and 3 before being quickly relegated by the Mclaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who found the pace to take positions 1 and 3. Max then did what he and his Red Bull do best and took the pole.
It was a truly fantastic session which hopefully will give us an exciting race.

What a finish to a great race!
Kevin Magnussen brings out initially a virtual safety car late in the race causing a flurry of pit stops that turned the race on its head. This then begame a full safety car which made the run to the chequered flag on softs a bit easier for those who made that choice.
Biggest winner in the safety car stakes would have to be Lewis Hamilton who, at the time hadn't stopped for tyres.
Losers would be both Oscar Piastri and George Russell who both pitted under green and lost their 3rd and 4th positions in the shuffle.
Lance Stroll incurred a 5 second penalty for causing a collision which took out Pierre Gasly.
