Re: The 2017 Canadian GP Thread
Well, this could be the season defining round.
Ferrari are definitely the team to beat. For the first time in more than 3 seasons, they appear to have the upper hand over Mercedes. The 2017 package seems to be a really nicely balanced car that can be fine tuned to each track much easier than the 2017 Mercedes.
With the weight of Mercedes behind them, the Silver Arrows will have to get back on track quickly.
Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Renault have all stepped up however I feel the power unit is still a little short of the leading 2 teams.
Force India have done a remarkable job in accruing points and, thanks to their efforts in Monaco, Haas also are looking promising.
For Williams, it is a rebuilding year. The decision to bring back Massa from retirement seems a masterstroke. Stroll is a novice and getting up to speed takes time.
McLaren looked impressive at Monaco. Both cars qualified in the top 10. The problem is that Canada is a power circuit. Power and reliability are their ongoing problems.
It is a good thing that Sauber has some points already this season. They may not receive any more.
So, these are my thoughts for Canada.
