Re: Round of Spain '18 - Picks and comments
Well. Here goes nothing.
My picks for Spain '18
Winner: Sebastian Vettel
Second: Lewis Hamilton
Third: Kimi Raikkonen
Fourth: Max Verstappen
Fifth: Daniel Ricciardo
Sixth: Valtteri Bottas
Seventh: Carlos Sainz
Eighth: Fernando Alonso
Ninth: Esteban Ocon
Tenth: Kevin Magnussen
Pole: Sebastian Vettel
I'm still not sure where to place Valtteri Bottas. He is usually near the pointy end but the Red Bulls have been fast in the race.
I have also thrown a couple of Spaniards into the mix in the minor points positions.

Well, it's you and me again cmLean!! And, given the lunatic impulsiveness at Red Bull (no names shall be mentioned but you know what I mean, picking the race is a nightmare. There's a fast driver who can take ANYONE, or any combination of drivers OUT and so guessing the podium is a nightmare and the points down to # 10, who knows??
so here goes
1. Sebastian Vettel in his beautiful Ferrari all smiles as he takes the lead back from Lewis
2. Lewis Hamilton, the steadiest and canniest (except for Fernando) driver in the field in his struggling Merc
3. Kimi Raikkonen in his red machine, adding another podium to his collection
4. Reliable Mr. Bottas, "the other Finn" will tangle with Kimi and lose
5. Max Verstappen will leave machines in his wake, but his charge will be too late owing to trying to win in lap 4!
6. Daniel Ricciardo will not be able to get past Max and 'team orders' won't help him either
7. Romain Grosjean will improve on last year's effort
8. Nico Hulkenberg will drag the Renault into the points, but not as far as last year's #6
9. Sergio Perez will bring the pink car home
10. and Fernando Alonso, the UNluckiest F1 Champion of the era, will do his yeoman work and bring a point home to McLaren, a team one, at this point, can only pity
The Pole will be Sebastian's by a fraction of a second.
Race should be full of fun! Looking forward to it.

I've loved racing since 1954 when I watched Bob Christie race a beautiful Curtis Midget with a V-8 60 Ford engine beat the Offies that came down from Portland from week to week and I saw both Foyt and Mears earn their 4th 500's during my years in Indiana. Maybe this year Helio will get lucky?
