01 March: Australian Grand Prix Preview - Red Bull Racing With the youngest driver in the field (Christian Klien, 22) as well as the youngest team boss (Christian Horner, 31), Red Bull Racing will make its debut in Formula 1 in Melbourne. Klien will compete in the race next to the thirteen times Grand Prix winner David Coulthard, 34; the Italian Tonio Liuzzi, 24, will be the test driver on Friday. The youngest team in motor racing�s premier league will introduce itself on the course on Friday, after inviting the world of Formula 1 to its �Welcome Party� on Thursday evening. Statements on Red Bull Racing�s Formula 1 premiere in Melbourne: David Coulthard, twice winner in Australia (1997, 2003): �This team is dominated by the winner gene, everyone wants to be successful, and I can play an important role in the team.� Christian Klien, placed eleventh in his first Formula 1 race in Melbourne last year: �This year I want to put everything I learned in my first year into practice. I know the procedures, the structures, the courses and my self-confidence has certainly increased. This will be a very decisive factor.� Christian Horner, Sporting Director: �Our first year is a year in which to build for future successes. From the very start we will stand for passion, youthful philosophy, performance-oriented thinking � plus something decisive: fun and entertainment. There�s a distinct lack of both in Formula 1.� G�nther Steiner, 39, Technical Director: �The current car is a very good base upon which to build. Thirty further modifications to the aerodynamics are planned throughout the year, as well as a new version of the engine in mid-season.� Cosworth, engine supplier for Red Bull Racing: "For the 2005 Melbourne Grand Prix qualifying Cosworth have delivered an improvement of more than 25 BHP and an increase of 300 RPM relative to 2004, which has been validated during more than 16,000 km of track testing since the end of the 2004 season, including more than 3,000 km on two engines at a recent Jerez test. The outcome that Cosworth and Red Bull Racing expect to see is a competitive and reliable 2005 engine." 2005
