02 December: Testing Report - Barcelona - Day Four

Location: Circuit de Catalunya, Spain
Drivers: Juan Pablo Montoya and Gary Paffett
Weather: Wet
Air temperature: high of 8.6 degrees Celsius
Track temperature: high of 10.8 degrees Celsius

Total number of km driven during the test: 1623km (Juan Pablo � 291km, Alex � 379km, Pedro � 685km, Gary � 268km)
Duration of test: Three days (28th, 29th and 1st; 2nd abandoned)

Team McLaren Mercedes abandoned the last day of testing of its four day testing programme at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain today due to the wet weather conditions; neither Juan Pablo Montoya nor Gary Paffett went out on the track.

The team instead focused on preparatory work for next weeks test in Jerez, Spain, which begins on Wednesday 7th December.

During the three days of testing completed this week Juan Pablo, Gary, Pedro and Alex ran the interim MP4-20B, powered by the new Mercedes-Benz 2.4 litre V8 engine, and between them the four drivers completed 351 laps, covering 1623kms. The programme for the week saw the team focus on engine and Michelin tyre work.
