The first race of the 2005 season was a low scoring round despite the extremely high reliability. Many picked 5 or 6 correct picks out of 8 however very few had their picks in (or close) to their actual finishing place. 
5 players managed to pick 7 out of the 8 finishers but none of them made it into the top 5 (1 made 6th place) stressing the importance of getting the pick in the exact place.

The Winner for this round:

This round we have a tie for 1st place between 3 players, Sandy, Kev and Woj. The prize for this round is awarded to Sandy as Sandy's picks were the earliest submitted. (All three players submitted their final picks on the 3rd of March with just over 7 hours difference!) Congratulations to Sandy for winning the NewsOnF1 Compact Smart Digital Clock with Alarm and better luck for Kev and Woj. There are 18 rounds to go!. 
Sandy managed to pick 6 of the top 8 finishers with 5th and 6th in their exact finishing places. Picking Giancarlo Fisichella for pole earned Sandy 4 additional points and scored a bonus 4 points for picking 6 and Pole!
Kev also managed to pick 6 of the top 8 finishers with 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th in their exact finishing places. Picking Michael Schumacher for pole earned Kev 0 additional points and scored a bonus 2 points for picking 6 and no Pole!
Woj managed to pick 6 of the top 8 finishers as well with 2nd, 3rd and 6th in their exact finishing places. Picking Fernando Alonso for pole earned woj 0 additional points and scored a bonus 2 points for picking 6 and no Pole!
