BATHURST TRIBUTES TO PETER BROCK.

Post by Julian Mayo » Wed Sep 20, 2006 11:17 am

There will be significant tributes to "The king of The Mountain" at Mt. Panorama this year.
They include a perpetual trophy awarded to the Winner of the "1000",
the race will be dedicated to Peter,
the front row of the grid will be left vacant as a dedication of his achievements on the Mountain,
All cars competing will carry his famous "05" decal, which was retired in 1997,
There will be a Champions lap of honour prior to the race start, with as many of Peter's winning cars as possible, driven by his co-drivers.
They include, if available,

1972 Holden LJ XU1,500km single driver race.

1975 Holden Torana L34 co-driver Brian Sampson

1983 Holden Commodore VH co-drivers Larry Perkins, John Harvey.

1987 Holden Commodore VL co-drivers David Parsons and Peter McLeod
