Expect the V8s to be else where and crowd attendances to bottom out at Albert Park.
The V8 teams are tired of being treated like c rap, with no pits etc.
Then Melbourne will lose the GP to Adelaide in 5 years and the V8s return, with both covered by seven.
Not a given.. I think crowds might go down a bit but I would hope that F1 fans would continue to support the race. I would hope that Melbourne keeps the race.
The "experts" expect a down turn of around $5 mill to be added to the event loss due to the absence of the V8s. It is said that lack of corporate bookings from companies with connections to V8s, and lower gate receipts will be the primary cause.

Lets just hope the guys at seven have taken serios notice of what 10 have done over the last decade. Those of us old enough to remember the old days also remember the rubbish we used to get from 7.

Welcome Bob.
Technology has come a long way from the days when Channel 7 has the telecast rights. And with Neil Crompton now on 7, I would expect the coverage to be at least as good. We also don't know just how many former Channel 10 experienced background personel have moved over to cover the V8's.

Camera crews seem to move from channel to channel fairly regularly.

Perhaps Melburnians don't like change.

I would call it loyal but I guess it is open to interpretation.

Neil Crompton will definatley bring some informed, interesting and professional content to the broadcasts. I am a huge Crompton fan.
As soon as I typed thet word (huge) I thought of Daryl Eastlake. No matter what 7 do, at least we wont get that sort of rubbish.
I am concerned how 7 will fit in football and supercars on the same days. I hope I'm wrong but I dont see 7 putting Supercars before football.
I also wory about Clipsal, Sandown, Bathurst and the like where many extra presenters are required to cover the events to the standard of 10. We realy did have a good mix at ten. I dont see the same depth of talent at 7.
Denyer has proved he can step up to the mark as a driver and has been good on the weather but wears thin on some of the other shows he been doing latley. I'm sure its not anything he does personaly but more how the particular shows are directed / produced and the audiance they are aimed at.
I am trying to keep an open mind and cant wait for the series to start. Not long now and we will see exactly whats what. Then we can either praise them or point out the short falls.
