Svalbard's capital is called Longyearbyen :!:
I thought it was called Longyear because of their long - actually very very long days and nights but after some searching it turns out that this place was settled by John Munroe Longyear in 1906 and Byen is Norwegian for City!!

and speaking of moving.... it is time for this little black duck to turn into a pumpkin.... oops... not pumpkin....ummmm.... a hotel.. no just my bed I think. After 2 am and I must be lonely... oh no that is not for another hour. However I am going to hit the sack... not that the sack did anything wrong but as you can see I am rambling and making no sense or perhaps nonsense.... whatever. Goodnight all.
