Bangladesh made only 104/6 in a rain shortened 22 over a side match. Australia made that total without losing a wicket.

Big game tonight with the West Indies playing Sri Lanla. If West Indies don't win it then they will need to win all of their remaining matches and/or rely on other matches to make it into the semi finals.

Hayden showed a lot of patience for his 47? this morning.
A couple of brutish sixes to finish the innings.

South Africa beat Ireland by seven wickets under the D/L method. It's amazing how many matches have been affected by rain.

Very big game tonight. England play Sri Lanka. Not only will the two sides playing take note of this result, it will effect in some ways all teams. West Indies, Ireland and Bangladesh will hope England win. New Zealand, South Africa and Australia will get an idea of how many points are needed to get into the semifinals and what position in the semifinals.

6pts Australia (run home:England Ireland,Sri Lanka, New Zealand.)
6pts New Zealand (run home:Ireland,Sri Lanka,South Africa,Australia.)
4pts Sri Lanka (rh:England,New Zealand,Australia,Ireland.)
4pts South Africa (rh:Bangladesh,West Indies,New Zealand,England.)

2pts England(rh:Sri Lanka,Australia,Bangladesh,South Africa,West Indies.)
2pts West Indies (rh:South Africa,Bangladesh,England.)
0pts Ireland (rh:New Zealand,Australia,Bangladesh,Sri Lanka)
0pts Bangladesh (rh:SouthAfrica,England,Ireland,West Indies.)

In what I consider to be the best match so far at the world cup Sri Lanka beat England by two runs. Bopara for England needed to score three runs of the last ball of the match to win it for England.

It's starting to look like the semifinalists will be Sri Lanka,Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

6pts Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand.
4pts South Africa
2pts England, West Indies
0pts Ireland Bangladesh.

Next game in two days time is between Bangladesh and South Africa.

Big upset in todays game with Bangladesh beating South Africa by 67 runs.
:shock2: Bangladesh scored 251/8 after being sent in to bat. South Africa never looked like they had a chance of reaching that score.

Tonight England play Australia in what should be an interesting game.

6pts Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand.
4pts South Africa.
2pts England,West Indies, Bangladesh.
0pts Ireland.

Australia had a comfortable seven wicket win over England. England made 247. It should have been alot more than this score but poor batting by Englands tail meant this is all England got.

Tonights game: New Zealand play Ireland.

8pts: New Zealand, Australia.
6pts: Sri Lanka.
4pts: South Africa.
2pts: England West Indies, Bangladesh.
0pts: Ireland.
