And now, for your amusement and ponderings, here is the second set of off-season trivia questions.........have fun, enjoy, and good luck to all who attempt to answer the following 10 questions...... :wink: 8) 8) :lol:

Note: as before, please PM the answers to me before midnight U.S. EST, 4 March 2007(please adjust times accordingly......)

Questions 1-5, as before, deal with specific corners and places of various racetracks:
1-Mile High Corner
2-Shoreline Drive
3-Festival Curves
4-Oak Tree Corner
5-Namerow

6} In the modern era(1979-present) of American open-wheel racing, four drivers have won three championships in either CART/ChampCar or the IRL. Who are they?

7} The closest 3-way finish in IRL IndyCar Series history took place at Chicagoland Speedway in 2003; who were the three drivers involved? (Note......check out the YouTube video of the last laps of that race in the YouTube forum......)

8} 12 Formula 1 World Driving Champions have competed in the Indianapolis 500 through the years; name at least 5 of them.(2 pt bonus if you can name all 12 of them.......)

9} How many drivers have won both the Indianapolis 500 and the Daytona 500?(note....the Daytona 500 is NASCAR's version of the Indy 500....)

10} Who is the only driver to accomplish the following?
--win the Indy 500
--24 Hours of LeMans
--the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Monaco
--twice win the Formula 1 WDC

Well, with time having expired for this round, here are the answers............

Bobby Rahal--1986, 1987, 1992
Sebastien Bourdais--2004, 2005, 2006
Sam Hornish, Jr.--2001, 2002, 2006

7} At the IRL IndyCar Series, Sam Hornish, Jr., Scott Dixon and Bryan Herta were involved in the closest 3-way finish in series history at Chicagoland Speedway(there should be a YouTube video of it in the YouTube forum.....)

8} 12 Formula 1 WDC's have competed in "the Greatest Spectacle in Racing", a/k/a the Indianapolis 500, over the years.......Alberto Ascari, Jack Brabham, Jim Clark, Sir Jackie Stewart, Denny Hulme, Jochen Rindt, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell and Jacques Villeneuve

9} A.J. Foyt, Jr and Mario Andretti are the only drivers in NA motorsports history to win both the Indy 500 and NASCAR's Daytona 500.

10} Graham Hill is the only driver to win the Indianapolis 500, the Grand Prix of Monaco, the 24 Hrs. of LeMans and the F1 WDC(2-time).
