2008 Indy Racing League Testing Thread.............

Series officials along with officials from Homestead-Miami Speedway and Sebring International Raceway announced the official series testing schedule for both the IRL IndyCar Series and Indy Pro Series in 2008 prior to the season-opening weekend at Homestead.......the schedule is as follows:

~~27 and 28 February, 2008(Homestead-Miami Speedway)
~~3 and 4 March, 2008(Sebring Intl. Raceway short course)*
*--half the teams will test one day with the other half testing the next day(the exact makeup tba....)

We're very much looking forward to getting back to the racetrack and preparing for the 2008 season. Homestead-Miami Speedway and Sebring International Raceway both offer warm-weather venues with first-class facilities to allow our teams and drivers the opportunity to get ready for another season of outstanding racing. Our racecars look spectacular under the lights at Homestead; I can't think of a better place to feel the energy of IndyCar Series racing in anticipation of another season. We're also thrilled to be going to Sebring for the first time. Indy cars have used their facility as a training ground for years, and it should be a great track for our competitors to get ready for the road and street courses on our schedule.

All the teams that have tested so far have been current IndyCar teams; the series is planning two tests sessions for all the incoming ChampCar teams, one sometime next week at Sebring and the second on the oval at Homestead.
