You'll know the same time everyone else does, julian.....after July 28th's deadline to submit answers. It's only fair to all who send in answers to the quiz. Thanks for asking, though.

Well, the deadline has passed.....since only two people sent in answers, it didn't take long at all to check the answers and, now here are the answers to the inaugural open-wheel trivia quiz.....
1}Nigel Mansell. The Brit is the only racer to win both a Formula 1 WDC and a CART/ChampCar title in consecutive seasons. He won the WDC in 1992 and the CART title in 1993.
2}Cleveland's Burke Lakefront Airport is one answer; the other is Edmonton's City Centre Airport.
3}Thirty-nine years before England's Dan Wheldon won the Indinapolis 500, Graham Hill won the famed 500-mile race in 1966.
4}Mario Andretti is the only member of the Andretti family to win the Indy 500; he did so in 1969.
5}the Corkscrew--Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
6}the Boot--Watkins Glen
7}the Kink/Canada Corner--Road America
8}the Mile High Corner--Denver's CCWS street course
9}Two...Jacques Villeneuve, in 1995 and Juan Pablo Montoya, in 2000.
10}The 2005 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year was none other than Danica Patrick.
Points table after one round.....
1==Lemon Martini2 9.5 pts
2==Julian Mayo 9 pts.
Even though only two people sent in answers(thanks, guys!), I believe this first round was a success, and I should have a new round of questions up on the forum w/in a week. Thanks, and good luck!

The .5 came from the lemon getting the year wrong on question #4; Mario won in 1969. Besides, I did not know that he would try his luck w/my open-wheel quiz. Now, if we could just get more people to try thier luck for next time....

Sorry Mfer, I had a quick look again at round 2, I knew about 2 answers off the top of my head. Even if I had the time to google I wouldn't , as the ccomp comes down to who has the time to research, and get it right. What about a grid comp for champcars and or atlantics. Legge is right up there again I see. Yahoo!
