Hirvonen wins the Rally Jordan................

Post by mlittle » Mon Apr 28, 2008 12:34 am

For the second consecutive day the lead changed during the 2008 Rally Jordan as a right-rear suspension failure forced Jari-Matti Latvala to the side for repairs, allowing Ford works driver Mikko Hirvonen to cruise to his first win of the 2008 WRC campaign; the win vaulted the Finn to the points lead(joining fellow Finn Kimi Raikkonen, who leads the F1 points following his win in Spain today)..................

Top-10 from the Rally Jordan................................

Citroen leads on day 1 as Ford struggles.......

Post by mlittle » Sat May 31, 2008 9:29 am

Through most of Friday's Leg 1 of the Acropolis Rally, Ford works pilots Jari-Matti Latvala and Mikko Hirvonen led over Citroen's Sebastien Loeb.....unfortunately, as is the case at times on gravel roads, an errant rock got both works Blue Oval pilots, sending them to the back half of the top-10 and letting Frenchman Loeb slide into 1st......

Top-10 following Leg 1 of the Rally Acropolis.....................
1} Sebastien Loeb(FRA/Citroen)............................1 hr., 21:34.8 sec
2} Daniel Sordo(SPN/Citroen)...............................-15.8 sec
