Yeah was a nice drive for a gravel boy.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

Good to see Gronholm win. He is the driver that I support. I like the natural way he speaks to reporters.

Ford 1-2-3 in Norway..........

Post by mlittle » Mon Feb 19, 2007 7:06 am

Q: When you think of the World Rally Championship and the Blue Oval, who usually comes to mind?
A: Marcus Gronholm, but he didn't win this time in Norway.....

In the first 1-2-3 sweep by Ford in WRC history since 1979, Ford driver Mikko Hirvonen drove his way through the snows of the Rally Norway, leading the Ford sweep with Gronholm and Henning Solberg rounding out the podium. In fourth place was Henning's brother, works Subaru racer Petter Solberg. Rounding out the top 5 was Jari-Matti Latvala. Making the weekend more interesting was the fact that reigning WRC champion Sebastien Loeb finished an abysmal 14th, handing the points lead to Gronholm. Finishing out the points in 6th, 7th and 8th were Gigi Galli, Daniel Carlsson and Jan Kopecky.

He's back.........Loeb wins in Mexico

Post by mlittle » Mon Mar 12, 2007 6:02 am

After a rare, non-points weekend, defending WRC champion Sebastien Loeb showed why he's still a force to be reckoned with, as he won convincingly the Rally Mexico......but it wasn't his performance on the second and third legs of the rally, but his dominant performance during the first leg on Friday that proved to be the factor, as Loeb built up leads of 25-45 seconds over both Subaru's Chris Atkinson and Ford's Marcus Gronholm. Loeb continued his dominance on Saturday with wins on four consecutive stages, holding onto a 60-sec. lead over Gronholm going into Sunday's third leg, where Loeb crusied to his second victory of the 2007 WRC season. Here are the top-10 results from the Rally Mexico..........

1} Sebastien Loeb, Citroen...........................3 hrs., 48:13.3 sec
2} Marcus Gronholm, Ford............................-55.8 sec
3} Mikko Hirvonen, Ford...............................-1:27.7 sec
