Predict Fastest Lap - 2006 Japanese GP (JayVee closest!)

Post by Tim » Wed Oct 04, 2006 12:16 pm

Predict the Fastest Lap time for the 2006 Japanese Grand Prix.

If someone gets a perfect match or near perfect (+/- 0.1 seconds), we'll give away a prize. (A choice between an Digital Alarm Clock and a Stopwatch).
And an even better prize if you get the time and the driver (A pair of Binoculars) and better still if you get the time, the driver and the lap number (A USD $100 instant gift certificate or equavilent from a choice of suppliers!)

Please include the time to the 1000's of a second, the driver and the lap number. You can if you wish include a wet time as well

For reference, the Fastest Lap time from the 2005 race at Suzuka was 1:31.540 (Kimi Raikkonen) on lap 44

The cars were running V10 engines last year. This year they are running V8 engines.

The Fine Print
One entry (dry and wet) per user with one change per condition allowed. Entries close prior to the start of qualifying session on Saturday
The winner will be the one who manages to predict the closest time. You need to be within 0.1 seconds of the fastest lap time to be declared the winner.
In case of two players predicting the same time and driver, the player who submitted earlier will be the winner.
Changing time and/or driver is allowed only once and the change cannot be a max or min to try and gain advantage (eg. if the highest fastest time posted is a 1:45.345, a player cannot change their time to a time above that)

Actual Fastest lap time was:

1:32.676 by Fernando Alonso on lap 14

The closest time was ...
JayVee wrote:1:32.882 - Alonso on lap 36
Just 0.206 seconds off the actual time. The closest but not close enough for a prize.

Good luck in the remaining round and I will try to remember the total number of laps next time
