This weekend, we head to Monaco.
As seen last year with Daniel Ricciardo's victory, it is a difficult place to pass.

The pits will be a fairly sombre place to be following the passing of 3 time champion Niki Lauda. Tributes will adorn the field in recognition of his achievements in the sport.

I feel that it is time for Max Verstappen to claim that elusive pole. In doing so, he will have every chance in emulating his former team mates efforts of last year. The Red Bull has the chassis, the Honda has adequate power and Max has the skill.
The other person I expect to perform well is Charles Leclerc. This is his home grand prix and this in his time to shine.
Mercedes will be difficult to topple. Their setup seems to make metres on corner exit and, at a circuit like this, will manage to hold the chasers at bay.
Aside from the usual suspects a the top, the balance of the field will be pretty close. Haas, Alfa Romeo, Renault, McLaren and Toro Rosso, you can take your pick. The only certainty is that Williams will again be propping up the field.

Well, what is there to say?
McLaren, with Sainz, had a terrible session. The car was in the garage for most of the session.
Both Haas cars were black flagged for a telemetry issue. It seemed that their whole computer system had hung.
The track is still rubbering in so grip in this session was low with many testing their braking points going into Sainte Devote.

Saturday became a nightmare for Ferrari. Leclerc was left in the pits at the close of Q1 and was subsequently bumped out of the top 15. His weekend just became a lot more difficult.
Sebastian Vettel missed so much of FP3 after finishing in the barrier and he really didn't recover. With the pressure qualifying, he clipped barriers in both Q1 and Q3 and this upset the Ferrari qualifying schedule.
Pierre Gasly and Antonio Giovinazzi have both incurred 3 position grid penalties for impeding other drivers on their hot laps.
