Re: The 2019 Canadian GP Thread
This weekend we are back in Canada where I don't see much change from the current order of results.
Mercedes are suggesting that they will have a new power unit which should greatly enhance the prospect of another win.
The word from the Ferrari camp is that they expect no improvements so they will be chasing the tail lights of the silver arrows.
Red Bull have shown that they are competitive and I believe that they will threaten the podium.
Now, best of the rest.
This will be between the Haas of Magnussen, the Renaults of Ricciardo and Hulkenberg and the Toro Rosso of Kvyat and Albon.
The rest just seem to have fallen a little behind this group. I would include Romain Grosjean here.

FP1 Results
Well, what else is there to say other than dust.
The session got under way and all you could see was dust. The track is going to take some time for it to clear.
Antonio Giovinazzi managed to catch the wall coming out of the turn 8-9 chicane.
Spins by Romain Grosjean and Sebastian Vettel and many more off tracks due to a lack of tyre adhesion.
Valtteri Bottas had a fuel pressure problem which ended his running near the end of the session.
Mercedes are nearly a second clear if the rest of the field.

FP2 Results
That was a session that Lewis Hamilton would want to forget with him following Antonio Giovinazzi's lead from the previous session. Hamilton's session lasted a mere 8 laps and the damage brought his session to an end.
Max Verstappen closed rapidly on Pierre Gasly as he approached the final turn and ended up in 'The Wall of Champions'.

Re: The 2019 Canadian GP Thread
Kevin Magnussen has a huge incident at the end of Q2 hitting the 'Wall of Champions' and then into the pit wall on the inside of the track.
The driver is okay but the car will need some serious work to get it back on track.
This incident had huge ramifications for many with Max Verstappen, Romain Grosjean, Daniil Kvyat and Alexander Albon all unable to complete their last chance flying runs at the end of the session.
Carlos Sainz also picked up a 3 place grid penalty for impeding Alexander Albon in Q1 and will move back to grid position 12. This may now be position 11 depending on what penalties will be applied to Kevin Magnussen for the repairs to his Haas.

Re: The 2019 Canadian GP Thread
With Ferrari still considering alternative options for an appeal for Sebastian Vettel's Canadian Grand Prix penalty, we will have to wait until the race morning of the French Grand Prix for the decision by the FIA.
Apologies to all who are waiting on the 10'n'Pole results for this round.
Don't forget to get your entries in for France '19 by Saturday 22/06/2019 10:00 UTC, 12:00 local.
