2015: My Opinion

Post by cmlean » Sun Mar 08, 2015 8:25 pm

So, the season is about to kick off. My gut feeling is that it will similar to last year. The major difference is the backmarkers will be more midfield runners.

Mercedes is still the benchmark
Williams is the closest challenger
Ferrari have shown improvement
Red Bull still have that lower power Renault in the back
McLaren could be the dark horse but will be developing throughout the year
Toro Rosso have shown some form.
Sauber have been fairly good in testing
Force India have also shown a little form
Lotus have improved
Marussia How long will they last?

So, with 1 round down, let's see where we are at.

Mercedes is still the benchmark - Check
Williams is the closest challenger - Next to closest
Ferrari have shown improvement - Made some real inroads so far
Red Bull still have that lower power Renault in the back - Check

Toro Rosso have shown some form. - Sainz spent more time on track and it shows
Sauber have been fairly good in testing - Probably an understatement
Force India have also shown a little form - Waiting.....
Lotus have improved - Looked good in qualifying
Marussia How long will they last? - Check

McLaren could be the dark horse but will be developing throughout the year - Part 2 of the statement is true, part 1 will take some time
