In the first of the two Corning Duel 100's this afternoon at Watkins Glen, two things were certainly apparent...................(1)it was a festival of carbon fibre(i.e. there were a lot of crashes today.......  ) and (2)no one had anything for AGR's Raphael Matos, who held off SSM driver Richard Antinucci to take the win.........

Davison speechless after bizarre win at Mid-Ohio......

In an Indy Lights race that resembled a "comedy of errors" more than a race, SSM's James Davison, normally a very high-strung driver, was speechless following his win.....why? He was in second on the final lap, approaching the Carousel and the start/finish line when, for some reason known only to TGR-Integra's Jonny Reid(..... :wtf: :bang: ......), Reid pulled off onto pitlane, literally handing the victory to Davison, who said afterwards that he couldn't believe what happened(..Mod's note....trust us, boyo, all of us who saw the race are still wondering "what the ---- was Reid doing?".....)

Testing Update.......

Last week, there was a flurry of activity as current and prospective Indy Lights drivers took part in several test sessions at Kentucky Speedway.....four drivers(Christina Orr, Tom Dyer, Daniel Herrington and Leonardo Cordeiro) all passed their Indy Lights rookie tests under the supervision of Indy Lights' technical director Butch Meyer, who had this to say about the quartet of potential drivers......
All of the drivers did a very good job; they all were very impressive.
In addition, several drivers got additional testing time in, including time w/2 IndyCar Series teams.......
--Panther Racing, Dillon Battistini*
--Andretti-Green Racing, Raphael Matos*
--American Spirit Racing, Cyndie Allemann
--Panther Racing, Brent Sherman
--Sam Schmidt Mtrspts., Richard Antinucci, Ana Beatriz & James Davison
--SWE Racing, Travis Gregg
--Andretti-Green Racing, Arie Luyendyk, Jr.
*--in addition to Indy Lights testing, Battistini and Matos also ran laps for their respective IndyCar teams
