Round of Malaysia 2012 - Picks and comments

Post by jido » Tue Mar 20, 2012 10:52 pm

You have registered the following picks :

Winner : Lewis Hamilton

Second : Sebastian Vettel

Third : Jenson Button

Fourth : Michael Schumacher

Fifth : Mark Webber

Sixth : Fernando Alonso

Seventh : Kimi Raikkonen

Eighth : Romain Grosjean

Ninth : Nico Rosberg

Tenth : Pastor Maldonado

Pole : Lewis Hamilton

McLaren need to confirm their good form in Malaysia. 8)

Lewis Hamilton was reportedly looking disappointed after the Australian Grand Prix, but so what? I don't see why he can't win this time.

I would not be surprised to see Sebastian Vettel or Jenson Button win though.

Mercedes is fast, but does not preserve its tyres well. If they can adjust the setup to care better after their gums I can see them near the podium.

I was rather surprised to see Fernando Alonso in fifth place in Australia. This was part due to luck (crashes / failures of front runners) but with a better qualifying and some small tweaks to the car why not a repeat?

Lotus still needs to confirm it can play with the leaders, as far as I am concerned. It showed very good promise though.

The same applies to Williams. And Toro Rosso, Sauber are also fighting for points...

An open championship? You bet!

 :bounceg: :lift: :woohoo:

The picks you have entered are:

Winner: Jenson Button

Second: Lewis Hamilton

Third: Michael Schumacher

Fourth: Sebastian Vettel

Fifth: Kimi Raikkonen

Sixth: Fernando Alonso

Seventh: Mark Webber

Eighth: Nico Rosberg

Ninth: Romain Grosjean

Tenth: Nico Hulkenberg

Pole: Lewis Hamilton

I hope Mercedes can sort out their tyre issues. They could do very well in qualifying, and it'll be interesting to see if they and Lotus can beat Red Bull there.

I also want to see how Grosjean and Hulkenberg can do. It was highly competitive in Australia, so hopefully it will be in Malaysia too. No rain would be good, then we'll get a better idea of what's what.

:D All Right Mates; last week was a great race and here's hoping the first five rows get through turn one intact this week!
1. Hamilton: he won't get caught on his back foot at the start again!!
2. Button: driving the best car, but not so lucky this week at the start.
3. Vettel: like Alonso, a champion who will drive a weak car brilliantly
4. Schuey: the Merc if they manage the tyres could make the podium
5. Alonso: still probably the best driver on the grid; he is CARRYING Ferrari
6. Webber: I can't see him higher than 6th and he may not make any points at all this week
7. Rosberg: see my comments on his partner
8. Raikkonen: will he ever catch a break?
9. Grosjean: hard to tell but the car is fast fast fast
10. di Resta: the Merc should pull them round the circuit fast enough for points

pole: Hamilton: maybe we'll even get a smile this week. He could do a hat trick and post the fastest lap, too.

Enjoy the race!
