F1 regulation page?

Post by schuy01 » Thu Nov 09, 2006 10:54 am

I remember seeing a FIA regulation page in the NewsOnF1 regulation section that showed all the mechanical specs that an f1 car must pass.

It also included a top, side, and front view of a F1 car passing all the bodywork requirements. I'm hopeing to find those images again  .

Does anyone here know what I'm talking about, and if so, could you help point me in the right direction?

I want to model a F1 car in Maya, but I'm having the hardest time finding good source images, but I've only been able to find those 3/4 perspective images (the ones giving an 'at an angle' shot of the car).

I am not sure about the page you are referring to, but here is a good source for what you are looking for (I think). Look for the technical drawings.

schuy01 posted in the Lounge and we moved it to this section!

Our F1 Regulation pages lists the links to those provided above by GhoGho.

We basically summarise the changes for every season to make it easier for the reader. We still offer links to the full regulations.

The summary can be found here

A summary for the changes to 2007 will be up soon.

Keep us posted on your progress schuy01 and welcome to our forums.

Of course I'll post some pictures! :P

I wouldn't leave you guys hanging.

I'm deciding weather or not to 3d model a regular F1 Car, or try a slight variation of the CDG Wing concept.

I like the downforce effect their going for, but the design looks goofy to me. :?

Maybe I'll try both wing designs with one base body style. :)
