Single session with race fuel is dissapointing. At least on low fuel we get some idea of how quick a car is.
Oh well at least we don't have to wait until Sunday to know the grid!!

One thing i don't like about having to qual with race fuel load is you also get an idea of race strategy before the race. with most teams all on the same strategy so as not to affect qualifying position.
1 flying lap low fuel. We may see a few different fuel stop strategies after a poor or better than expected qual time and even cars with different fuel loads passing each other during the race. Isn't that what viewers want.
Just my humble opinion!!

I can't understand why they didn't just changed the sunday morning Q to go just after Q1 on saturday. New Q sucks even more - no light Q sucks. the order (the inverted of last race) sucks too (as now there's only 1 Q)....
(the only good id we'll know who's in Pole on Sta...)

The only good thing in the change in qualifying,i guess for everyone is that v'll know on saturday itself whose on pole & sit with our friends in the pub on sat nite, discussing strategy our fav.driver should adopt

(dont v all become Dennis,Brawn,Falvio after a couple of drinks

)
I would have prefered, if they wanted to limit it to just one qualifying, one run of low fuel & starting the race with race fuel with individual fuel strategy(just like old times

) The field would jumble up at some point & v might see overtaking

Overtaking.... F1......ppffffffffff. Not til they severely restrict the aero aids on the cars or make it mandatory for them to run upside down thru the tunnel

Overtaking is all v can hope from F1 now.Season is interesting now, only if v could see some on track overtaking.
I agree tracks should be like Sepang,Bahrain,Shanghai..

I do agree that light tanks, and pedal thru the metal, is the way to go, however with the 2 race per engine rule that ain't gunna happen

A whisper that Renault are going to be very heavily scrutinised, next time they have a driver on the podium.
Of course, after Monaco's display that might not happen again this season. Look out! JV is coming, I'm outa here

The FIA have confirmed that the new single session qualifying format has been approved by the competing teams and the Formula 1 commission.
So starting from the European Grand Prix there will be a single session single lap qualifying with race fuel on Saturday.
The order is in reverse of the finishing order of the previous race (winner out last).
