Order at the top is fairly static.

So far Klien covered the most number of laps with 23 followed by Zonta with 20.

Of the race drivers, Heifeld covered 20 laps. It is reported that he had an engine change.

Ralf Schumacher takes 5th with a 1:17.584.

Alonso improves in 4th with a 1:17.410

Just over 15 minutes remaining in this 1 hour session and the top 8 are:

Zonta (1:16.220), Raikkonen, Coulthard, Trulli, Alonso, R Schumacher, Fisichella and Heidfeld.

Montoya is 9th, Michael Schumacher is 12th and Barrichello is 14th

News from BMW confirm that Heidfeld had an engine change due yto a faulty exhaust valve.
They've used Webber's engine in Heidfeld's car and they are waiting for 2 new spec engines to be delivered before the start of the 1st Saturday practice session tomorrow.

That is why Webber isn't doing any running as they want to give him one of the new spec engines.

But why they gave Webber's engine to Heidfeld in the first place isn't explained!

that's because they want to change Webber's engine to a new-spec-one wothout losing 10 places in qualif.
Heidfeld had to change it anyway so that's why they did so.
(for this race NH had to use the same engine he used at imola, but Webber can use a new one)
