Michael only did 8 laps sofar, at leat two of which were fast of all at the time.
I do not expect tp see him more in this session.

A 1:17.301 for Alonso. Klien also impressive with a 1:17.511

Fisichella gradually improving. He is now 4th with a 1:18.325.
Alonso still running. He's done 8 laps so far!
Interesting that the regular drivers are featuring heavily in the top 8 here in practice when it is usually the test drivers

Wurz takes 3rd with a 1:18.059
Alonso pits after completing 9 laps in total. By comparison, Michael completed 8 laps so far

Just over 10 minutes to go and it is pretty quiet now.
Only Wurz, Villeneuve and Doornbos on track!

I guess cos with the nature of the circuit,every driver needs to be accustomed to the track.As the test driver would be helpful only for tryres but not for the exact set up to the race drivers.

Regular drivers high in times, becasue it is a drivers track and the better drivers are able to make due better with the changing coditions.

They all pour on to the track, may preclude them form setting really fast times.

Certainly the race drivers are setting better times because of that but also think that because of the high profile Monaco is, some drivers could be playing games
