Heidfeld had to change it anyway so that's why they did so.
(for this race NH had to use the same engine he used at imola, but Webber can use a new one)
Thanks sgd,

Reading Williams statement again I see what they are doing. Must have had brain fade the first time I read it!
Heidfeld had to change an engine so they gave him the one Webber was supposed to use. They'll get two new spec engines and get them in the cars in time for the 1st free practice session tomorrow.

"I did not run much this morning because of a hydraulic problem with the car, which was then identified and solved."

Unless the engine overheated it doesn't look like they'll be changing it.

It is an interesting scenario with BMW. They are obviously rushing the new engine but it may have to do with the fault they found on Heidfeld's engine.

I'm pretty impresed with those practices:

1.DC was bloody fast in prac.2

2.Jordan and specially Minardi have improved a lot!! Karthikeyan(1:18.858) in the same second of MShumierda(1:18.042)!!! that is not usual and is for sure something of note ;)
and Albers(minardi) just 1.5sec slower that MShm...

they should be happy.

1st Saturday practice session underway.

Air temperature 14, track temperature 16

de la Rosa was fastest yesterday. Montoya crashed heavily at the end of the second session and Mark Webber did run at all as BMW were building a new engine for him which should be ready for him this session.
