And with that, the V10-era of Formula One officially comes to an end. What a dominating performance by Alonso!

All McLaren can do is wonder, what if? If anything could be said for their season, it is the lack of reliability in the MP4-20 this year for the McLaren squad at the worst possible times.

Is it just me, or did they just spray the Renaut of Alonso with extinguisher cause' the car looks like it was on fire for a moment! Kimi looked like he was trying to blow up the Mercedes engine after putting the car in 'parc ferme'.

Thanks for the commentary Julian.

I'll look forward to watching the delayed coverage of the race.

Flavio wanted an extinguisher put on the LH rear brake. Just account management no doubt.

Thanks mate, I think I better learn to type. Mind you it was easier than Bathurst, I took the back of the axe to a wall, and made a view hole between the computer and TV . Fang was relieved
The race is worth watching.

For Flavio it's his first constructors' title since his days with Benetton back in the mid-1990s', if I'm not mistaken.

Fabulous fabulous job from Julian   and to mlittle as well for his comments during the race!

Looks like you can do a few of those next season :D

It was indeed a great race that Alonso dominated. The McLarens couldn't do anything about him. A well deserved finish to a great season for Alonso and Renault.

The Renault actually caught fire in parc ferme'. Alonso was so excited that he kept revving the engine when he stopped that he appeared to rev it too much. When he final killed the engine and started to get out of his car the car was on fire!!, Flavio (who was waiting for him) screamed at him to get away from the car. I actually have a few shots that I'll put up a bit later.
