No definitely not. But I must warn you that it is purely platonic.

So do we need reminding even here of what is going on in the bad world out there.

A bit of fun a games doesn't hurt. Even those in the middle of it all do that

I was enjoying this discussion even though Redhead hasn't replied yet

Then I got my 8 'n' Pole score

JayVee, RE30B#16,

The ?smug comments? that ticked me off were these,
JayVee wrote:
RE30B#16 wrote: If you still need evidence of FA's ability, open your eyes and consider what has been going on for the past 2 years.
It is amazing isn't it RE30B#16

He just happened to be in the right car maybe
Fisichella is also in the right car    :D
Being told by RE30B#16, that I need to ?open my eyes and consider what has been going on for the past two years? , is condescending at best, insulting at worst, to someone who is passionate about and pays as much attention to modern F1 as closely as I do. And you concurred with him JayVee.

Also in that quote is the basis for me thinking I was falsely accused of saying FA is only WDC because of the car. The comment ?He just happened to be in the right car maybe? is sarcastically representing what you think I am saying. Am I really fooling myself?

JayVee wrote:Oh and one more thing Redhead,

What is your definition of "a truly great driver" ?
And when a driver gets results in car that shouldn't, what would they become ?

 :D
I wouldnt have thought "truly great" was really so difficult to comprehend, as I have already said in this thread, I wouldn't rate any driver any higher than that. Not MS, not anyone.

So when he does eventually get results in a car that he shouldnt, he will still be merely "truly great"

The original point I was trying to make can perhaps be captured by a question like "How would FA have gone in last years Ferrari, last years Mclaren, last years Williams" that sort of thing. If he was in last years Mclaren, would he have broken it as often as Kimi did? These are questions FA's career will eventually answer, because he wont be sitting in the best car every year.

As for one-dimensional JayVee, it refers to your monotony, do the stats on "MS and his dirty tactics" barely a post of yours goes without it, often several times. As for petty, your response to F1greyhound serves my point, you pick apart his error about last years results but miss a far more serious (IMHO) error regarding 1994.

And does replying "Like your posts", to F1greyhounds comment "This is tiring" fall within your charter of www etiqutte? I know I've been rude but I'm not claiming the moral high ground here.

Redhead, JayVee has a mind of his own. He agreed with my remark. There is nothing wrong with that. I don't understand the shock you are feeling if you are sincere in your sentiment about wanting to put this thing to bed.

I could let this fly by, but I won't. As Snowy pointed out, we have a war going on, and maybe it wouldn't be if people stood their ground to make other come fully correct. I might suggest it is you who is the smug one right now considering you are responding to a post I made, directly to JayVee, and not to the both of us which has me wondering if I should contrue that as being dismissive of me and everything I said. Is this your intent?

Why is it so unnerving that RE30B#16 (my name is Chris, BTW) made the remark about "opening your eyes" versus anyone else on this forum? I respect your years of passion for this sport as I do for everyone here. Their are no casual fans of F1 on this forum, so I'm not sure why you are so incredulous that JayVee should concurr with my remarks which were totally reasonable considering your remarks which triggered them. Nevermind that my sceenname is that of a 25 year old F1 car, If you need more evidence of my qualifications to make my comments, I have been watching this sport since Jackie won his first WC. That was something like 35 years ago!

I don't want to sound condescending, but perhaps you should preview your posts before you submit them.
