Webbo must have asked for another shilling a year.........
If he re-signs with Williams he will take a pay cut as the team is trying to spend all its money on the car. The article I read said either Renault or McLaren are possibilities, but I doubt that. Possibly McLaren but it would only be for a year while Hamo comes on song. Renault will have either Kovi or Kimi me thinks.

Red Bull are supposedly staying with their current line up. Same with Toyota and Honda. For Renault to sign Webber or Kimi, they would have to find another seat for Kovi or risk loosing him. MF1 is really the only option for him I can think off. I can see Renault risking Kovi for Kimi, but for Webber?

The only available seats I see are:
Williams: Probably as there might be no where to go.
Renault: Will be hard
McLaren: Possible for a year, but do you think McLaren would like two of Flavios boys driving for them?
Ferrari: Doubtful at best. Will be MS or Kimi next year, probably with Massa. Has he been signed on for another year?

I think it all depends on MS's decision on his retirement. Unfortunately.

I agree that it all depends on MS. His manager, and a lot of other people are urging him to retire on a high if he wins the WDC this year. If he doesn't win, I believe he will go aroung again next year.

In an ITV article I just read, I think it was quite well put:

"With the management team behind Mark, and especially Flav, it is very hard to believe that his management would have done anything to position Mark outside of competitive seat for 2007"

I agree.

Dont forget Williams got Wurz as a test driver this year on the condition that he get a race seat in 07.

Mark will be at Renault next year. I think that is clear now.
Kimi to Ferrari.
Kubica gets a BMW seat if he is a good boy this weekend.
JV retires. His best option is Red Bull now, but they wont want to oldies.

I don't think he will be left without a decent drive.

believe half of what you see in the F1 world, and ignore everything else.
there are so many imponderables at the moment.
Will Flav re-sign with Renault?....that has a huge bearing on where Mark goes.
Will Todt retire? or take a sabbatical ? that has an enormous flow on effect thru most of the field.
Will Scummaker retire even if Todt stays....same.
Sadly, I dont think Markhas much control over his destiny at the moment.
(Unless he knows something about Ralf we dont) 8)

The Future

Okay, I have surfed the net, its a gibbous moon, the tea leaves n chicken entrails agree....so here is my assessment.
Webbo left voluntarily, so he knows where he is going.
Briatore is reassessing his life after his operation for a cancerous kidney, so he will leave Renault.
Neither Todt nor Brawn have re-signed with ferrari.
That means Kimi is going there.
That means Scummaker will retire.....no way will he risk going head to head with Kimi
Massa will stay.
McLaren will risk Hamilton, they don't want to lose him to another team.
Q.E.D
Tis a blue n yellow Webbo.

A bigger chance of it happening if Flavio retires. He does not want one of his drivers in his team.

He will replace the lesser performer, Fisi or Webbo, mid season. Wonderful things, those performance clauses
