Astonishing pace from Kubica, Heidfeld and Coulthard! If they repeat that in qualifying and Ferrari doesn't get it's act together they're really gonna feel that in the race as even with the new "chicken" (Alonso speak ) overtaking here just doesnt happen! unless of course it rains

While the order behind McLaren and Ferrari may get shuffled, I would be very surprised to see anyone other than a McLaren or aFerrari driver in the top 4. Unless due to mistakes or mechanical failures of course

As for the chicane!, I think it will spice things up a bit

Hamilton fastest in Q1 ahead of Massa, Alonso and Heidfeld.

Knocked out: Schumacher, Wurz, Webber, Sutil, Albers and Speed

Massa fastest in Q2 ahead of Hamilton, Raikkonen and Alonso. Heidfeld, Kubica, Coulthard, Trulli, Kovalainen and Fisichella make the top 10.

Knocked out: Rosberg, Barrichello, Sato, Button, Davidson and Liuzzi.

Great effort by the top 4, I believe the trend has been set now for FELIPE and FERNANDO to take the lead internally although their teammates wont give up easily.

NICK seemed extremely happy with P7 which means he was definitely very heavy. However I wonder if he could really be on 1 stop? Otherwise tomorrow will tell if he can really profit of staying out longer(hope he doesnt get stuck behind JARNO)...but he is the only one who could possibly attack the top 4. Robert did ok but I think he is on the same strategy as those in front of him.

Well done also by DAVID, his constructor certainly has the right feeling of what car he likes...

Congratulations to Felipe Massa on his second win in a row and to Lewis Hamilton for becoming the youngest driver ever to lead the championship, now leading by two points from Alonso.
Well done to Coulthard for finishing 5th for Red Bull and to Takuma Sato for scoring the first points for Super Aguri.

Well done Felipe and congratulations to Lewis, out right Championship leader I was going to use but nothing he does actually surprises me

Had to give the drive of the day to Massa, with DC and Sato not far behind. Massa stayed in it on T1, then showed Alonso the gravel pit, kept his head in a very hot car, talk about Flame red, and did what a pole sitter should do
Now that F1 is such a controlled formula, I think the teams are really shaving too close to the bone for a tiny improvement, hence the number of retirements.
Has the Hambone psyched out Alonso? One desperate lunge at turn 1, then he sulked home, his fastest lap coming when it was all over. Strange.
Good to see Hambone pinching tyres on the turn-in, I was starting to think the Kid was a bloody robot.
Fisi, go home..............and stay there, His Engineer was tearing his hair out on the team radio, but Fisi just kept on at the same pace.
Kovi is getting the hang of it.
The Renault engineers working on the Red Bull cars enjoyed DC's drive.
Methinks Button got sent to the naughty chair in the Garage corner. Dumb move.
Toyota make some really good road cars, very reliable.
It was almost worth staying up til 1:30 am.

That was a good race! I did enjoy it even though I was a bit dissapointed.

Alonso did what he is supposed to do, attack and go for it. Perhaps he needed to be an inch more on the outside and he would have made it. I think he expected Massa to let him through as he was indeed first into the turn but Massa didn't have to. Luckily both survived!

Alonso managed to salvage 3rd place with a damaged car and drove superbly until the end. Well done to Massa and Hamilton too but without Alonso threating them they had a walk in the park. Massa pulled away and Hamilton didn't respond then both settled for position.
In qualifying Massa and Alonso were matched and they had the same fuel load. Had Alonso taken the lead at the first turn or even stayed second, the result could have been very different.

A strong race from Kubica, actually his first good race this season.

Very surprised with the result from Coulthard, maybe I need to do some stats research but it seems he enjoys 5th place whichever team he drives for!! Well done for beating the works Renault

Rosebrg continues to impress, what he is doing in that Williams compared to Wurz is just amazing, I think it is only a matter of time before we see Rosberg with a top team.

Kovalainen is starting to show what he can do too. It is taking him some time and with Hamilton, he looked hopeless but he kept Fisichella behind all weekend and to do that in his 4th race is a big acheivement.

Sato!! Well I think he ought to be given credit, he was supposed to be miles behind Davidson but he has proven otherwise.

Several drivers did very well given the circumstances, actually all those in the top 8. Given my bias I give it to Alonso for trying

Monaco is next, lets see who stacks it

Not one but 3 drivers qualify for the driver of the race IMHO.
Massa - 15% , DC - 40% and Sato - 45%

First corner obviously decided the fate of Massa & Alonso..Ambitious move by Alonso,which now looks unnecessary but had he pulled it off would have been spectacular & might have won the race considering Massa losing his cool & trying those rocketeer moves to overtake or probably not knowing he had a faster raceday car.

Hamilton continuos to impress,youngest ever to lead a championship...could be a scenario that he would be the first champion in his rookie year without winning a race Overall doing a fantastic job nevertheless..

Alonso fate was decided in the first corner & did best to get an ailing car home..lucky to be on podium with kimi's car failure...Wonder the bullet proof reliability of the once famed Ferrari is gone out of the Window..or is it KIMI??

Kubica & again the BMW's were the best of the rest,poor Nick had to drive with the gun without any assistance..

Well done DC..i thoroughly enjoyed his drive...Redbull could be 4th best team in a couple of months time,wonder if they got their reliability fixed the midfield with Webber in it could be the most exciting in coming races with Renault getting there slowly..

Nico needs to be in the top team..the guy is very good...& Williams are getting better too...

Renault troubles dont end at all..notoriously or coincidently both their fuel rigs fail in the same race

Sato was massive impressive to finish in points...I think the works honda should take back their last year chassis from Aguri...they might finish in points..anyway Button doesnt think any great of their 2007 car by crashing into his own teammate

Races look exciting behind the Ferrari's & Mclaren's...apart from the start...

Hope to see a suprise winner at Monaco
