Second session underway. Air temperature is 28 degrees while track temperature is 32 degrees.

Currently Alonso is fastest ahead of Hamilton by a big margin (0.6 seconds). Fisichella is 3rd ahead of Raikkonen, Kubica, Massa, Kovalainen and Heidfeld.

Massa spun a short time ago as he was closely following another car into the second chicane. He recovered OK

The top 2 teams have so far set their times on the medium compound.

Both McLaren drivers are on the track again

Fisichella in 3rd with a 1:23.584. He is on the soft compound

Raikkonen has only completed 5 laps this session and is in his garage. There may be a problem with his car.

Massa is on the track but is down in 8th

15 minutes remains and the top 8 are: Alonso, Hamilton, Fisichella, Kubica, Rosberg, Massa, Raikkonen and Kovalainen.

It doesn't appear that Raikkonen will be back in his car this session as he is seen sitting on the pit wall.
